Reyna + Leipua
Ali’i Lavender Farm Engagement Photography | Reyna & Leipua’s Maui Morning Session.
We headed to Ali’i Lavender Farm to capture engagement photos for Reyna and Leipua. The morning light was gorgeous, and even though some lavender hadn’t bloomed yet, their love filled every frame. They looked amazing together. During the session we asked what they love most about each other. In unison they said, “personality!” — the same spark that drew them together 13 years ago and still keeps things lively. There’s never a dull moment with this couple; they still give each other butterflies.
Reyna and Leipua do everything together: paddle boarding, watching movies, cooking, and taking their little dog to the park for a picnic. Their perfect Saturday is a beach day with family barbecues, surfing, and playing podagee horseshoe.
One unforgettable trip was to New York. Visiting friends, guided by their friend’s sister, they wandered Central Park and enjoyed a picnic with food from Katz’s Delicatessen. They spotted horse carriages and Reyna—who’d always wanted a carriage ride—convinced Leipua to go. It was a beautiful, quiet morning with a spectacular view; they sat on a flat rock and shared a romantic moment straight out of a movie. Ten minutes into the carriage ride after lunch, Leipua proposed. It was magical.
That proposal brought us to Ali’i Lavender Farm to photograph their engagement, and it was an honor to be part of their story. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding day.
