Maui Engagement Photographer: Capturing Jillian & Dalton’s Authentic Love at Ho’okipa Beach.

Ho’opika never looked so hot! Jillian and Dalton wanted to capture their first trip to Maui with a special photo session, celebrating their love and creating beautiful images for their engagement announcement. But there was a little challenge—Jillian is terrified of sand sticking to her. Walking and swimming are fine, but sitting in the sand can easily cause her to panic. Yet, this is Maui, this is Ho’okipa—sands everywhere! And she handled it like a champ. 😊

Dalton describes Jillian as “the most loving and caring person I’ve ever met,” full of goofiness, intelligence, and determination. When they decided on Hawaii, Jillian dove right in with a guidebook, eagerly planning the adventure. Dalton admires the depth of her love and hopes to see more of her in the world someday when they start a family. “I think the world could always use more Jillian. At least my world could.”

Jillian has great things to say about Dalton too—he’s her enthusiastic, adventurous partner with countless passions and talents. Whether it’s mastering a new instrument or making the best quesadilla, Dalton’s energy is infectious. He’s brought her to discover new depths in her life and faith, and she can hardly believe he chose her to be his wife.

Their story began in college, where their shared love of music brought them together—Dalton on cello, Jillian on piano. They still play together and share a passion for photography, even photographing wedding gigs side by side. Their love of travel keeps them planning new adventures, from hiking and boating with family to road trips across the country.

And yes, they love to eat—Mexican food is their favorite! This joyful, genuine couple brought so much warmth to their Ho’okipa shoot, creating memories as bright and beautiful as the Maui sun.
