Have you ever wanted a lipstick or lip gloss that just made your lips feel effortless, smooth, and have moisture? Many women, especially brides, highly request to have a long lasting lipstick, and one they didn’t ever have to worry if it came off on their special day. Our beautiful and talented Maui Makeup Artist, Kymberly Marr is the genius and creator behind her new line, Kimberly Marr Cosmetics. For several years as a makeup artist, she listened, she studied, and she then came up with the perfect ingredients to give women what they really want when it came to both lip color and how they wanted their lips to feel. I, Jessica, Wedding Photographer, work with Kymberly in the Wedding Industry. I had to test it out myself. If you were to look in my makeup bag, you may find 20+ lipsticks and lip gloss I barely use. Why? Because I’m unhappy with them. Every single one (not to put down the brands, but most of them I’ve tried), have made my lips super dry, and then they end up pealing. I always thought maybe this was just only my problem, and I had no idea several women experienced the same. On my wedding day, a makeup artist put a beautiful color on my lips, but by the time the Reception happened, my lips were chapped, flaky, and they peeled. I wasn’t surprised, as this is what happens every single time I wore lipstick or lip gloss. I always wear my lips naked after doing my makeup. Just chap stick was it. Blah! Then someone once said to me, “You forgot to put your lips on!” I was always in search for the perfect lipstick. It’s been YEARS people! Guess what… I found her! Kymberly Marr is a true gem. She has put her clients first. I went ahead and purchased two matte lipsticks. By the way, she has named each color after parts of Maui! How special is that? I purchased “Maui” and “Lahaina.” I have always loved a bright red bold color and so, here I was, trying to impress our amazing Makeup Artist, THE KYMBERLY MARR, by wearing her “Lahaina” for the first time ever! Rolland and I collaborated with her, and these two lovely and stunning young ladies, to model her lip color! YA’LL…. OMG…. my lips never once flaked, never once pealed, and the entire day, they felt great! Coconut oil and other natural ingredients on my lips made them feel heavenly. In fact, I forgot I even had lipstick on! I put the color on from 9:00AM, never once came off, and it easily came off when I washed it off before bed. While photographing these girls, there was no re-applying touch ups. I know I’m preaching here, but coming from a 30 something old woman and several years of trying to find THE lipstick…I have to share with everyone, this is it! I hope other makeup artists get a hold of her lip colors, because they will wow their clients!
